September Meeting PlanningThe next meeting will be at a local fish store called The Real McKoi on September 3rd. We will meet at 3:30pm as a short talk will begin at 4pm with a Q & A after. The store has 7 acres of ponds, plants and fish so we will have an hour or so to wander around.

Re: September Meeting PlanningAnyone know their hour/days of operation? Be curious if they'd also be open the next day (Sunday) for a part deux for a little more exploring?
jus sayin "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience."

Re: September Meeting PlanningThis is a pond shop only. They have gold fish, koi, pond plants and products. They also have some of the coolest outdoor plants for sale. The owners are a couple who took their hobby of gardening and ponds to a 7 acre wonderland. It is located at 11500 N. Bryant Ave., OKC.
Hoa (Wah) and her husband very nicely share their property if you just want to walk around or even sit down on a boulder to relax. They work very hard to keep up their gardens and are always adding. They are sort of like fish geeks...they always find one more plant they need so they create a new garden area. They have made their dreams come true. I can't for the life of me remember the husband's name but if you give my your phone number I will call you at 3 pm when it pops into my mind. I dreamed I was a mermaid
in the blueness of the sea, all the little fishes came and swam with me.
Re: September Meeting PlanningBTW, my house is not kid proof but there is a back room with a tv. Please bring things for them to do. They can mess around back there to their heart's content.

Re: September Meeting PlanningWe were thinking of attending. Does anyone in the club do cichlids now? Just wondering if we should even bother bringing them for the auction.
We have flier cichlids, synsillum, red humped earth eaters, large severums, tons of assorted african cichilds, victorians, a bunch of zebra obliquedens etc etc. We have tons of marble and gold angels that are very healthy and were bred in Texas. We have some really nice full grown peach head geophagus too. We have the black background if you want it April. Brand new 19 inches high. We also have a coral background, columns, arizona, planted tank, and blue backgrounds in that size. We have a coral background in the 12" size. If you need anything let me know. http://www.mondoaquatics.com Also we have tons of airline tubing in clear and black for 11 cents a foot. Re: September Meeting PlanningAlot of people here raise one or another type of cichlid. It's more along the lines of what type are you consider bringing.
